Laxá í Aðaldal – Torfur
The Stadartorfa, Múlatorfa and Presthvammur beats are located below the dam in Laxá in Thingeyjarsýsla. This section of the river is most often called Laxá in Adaldalur. The river is famous for its salmon fishing, but there are the trout beats as well. The average trout weights in at about 2 lbs. Below the dam, the valley widens forming as natural haven for diverse bird life.
