Laxá í Aðaldal – Torfur

The Stadartorfa, Múlatorfa and Presthvammur beats are located below the dam in Laxá in Thingeyjarsýsla. This section of the river is most often called Laxá in Adaldalur. The river is famous for its salmon fishing, but there are the trout beats as well. The average trout weights in at about 2 lbs. Below the dam, the valley widens forming as natural haven for diverse bird life.

    Staying at  the fishing lodge Lynghóll is included in the price for the license. The house has five rooms with accommodation for ten people, hot tub and a well-equipped kitchen. It´s  a 15 minute drive to Húsavik,  and 5 minutes to the beats. Hotels offering full board services and some B&B´s are also available in the nearby area.
