This river is in the Eyjafjordur district. During days or periods of melting it gets colored by the glacial water. It is about 31 miles (50 km) long and loses it name after the confluence with river Oxnadalsá.
Its surroundings are majestic and beautiful and the many fishing spots are easily accessible. The catch consists mainly of fine Arctic char, 1.5 – 3 lbs, but few Sea trout and Brown trout are caught every year as well.
Bookings for next season starts in mars 2015
