Flókadalsá river

Flókadalsá is in a nice valley in northern Iceland, 211 miles  (340 km) from Reykjavik and 59 miles (95 km) from Akureyri. It´s home to both sea running Arctic char and Lake char. The fish average around 1 – 1.3 lbs. and is very good to eat.

    Arctic char and occasionally salmon. Fly only and one – two fish for the table, thereafter catch & release policy.

  • Accommodation

    Bjarnargil offers bed and breakfast in beautiful Fljótum. Breakfast is included. Dinner must be booked in advance.

    The tourism service at Sólgardur/Akrar in Fljótum is open all year round, although the emphasis is in the summer season from June 15th to September 15th. Accommodations include 4 rooms, one of which is a large lounge. There is only one room with a private shower.
