Brunná in Axarfjordur is a clear Arctic char, Brown trout and Sea trout river, approximately 20 minutes away from Litlaá. Due to its location it is perfectly suited for a combination trip with Litlaá. The surroundings of Brunná are absolutely gorgeous. It is fished on 6 miles (10 km) stretch, which means there being a lot of space for the three rods.
Brown trout and Sea trout are particularly plentiful in the beginning of the season. The Arctic char start running the river in early June, which is not to be missed. The Brunná is actually one of the best rivers in Iceland for sea-run char, and along with the big brownie´s, they are the main target in summer. The first Sea trout return in late August.
